Dr. Robert Saunders, DDS is a Detroit Lakes, MN, native who bought Dr. John Volkerding's practice in October of 1999. He attended NDSU and the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, for his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Saunders is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association and is part of the Spear Faculty Study Club based out of Scottsdale Arizona.
Dr. Saunders' hobbies include hunting and fishing, and being at the lake with his wife and kids. Dr. Saunders is happily married to his wife, Mary, who works for the Sanford hospital as a Physician Assistant. They have 3 spirited boys Ian, Ryan, Aiden.
Dr. Brittany Krog, DDS, a Grand Forks, North Dakota native, joined Dr. Saunders' dental practice in July 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from North Dakota State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln NE. She is a member of American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association, and is a member of the Spear Dental Study Club.
What Dr. Krog likes most about dentistry is forming lasting relationships with patients of all ages and working in an office environment where we work hard but also know how to have fun. Dr. Krog also enjoys that dentistry constantly challenges her to learn new things and grow as a practitioner daily.
She is happily married to her husband, Andrew who is a civil engineer at Bolton and Merk Engineering in Fargo. The couple enjoys game nights and grilling with family and friends, weekends at the lake and fishing in the summer, traveling, Bison games and hanging out with their cat, Juliet and yellow lab, Goose.
Dr. Brittany and Andrew have one son Paxton and another son due in June.
I have been with Dr. Saunders since January 2000. I started out working chairside with Dr. Saunders. I had the opportunity to go the front desk as his office manager in 2003. I graduated from Moorhead Tech in 1985 from the dental assisting program. I love working with all of our patients and love seeing the final results of treatment that we have completed for them. On a personal side my hobbies include motorcycling and going to the lake every weekend and traveling in the winter to warmer places.
I grew in Warren, MN. I graduated from Northwest Tech College in 1995. I joined Dr. Volkerding in May of 1995. I was able to continue on with Dr. Saunders. I love working with all of the patients. Laughing and joking around with them is the best. My hobbies include going to the lake in the summer, traveling in the winter, enjoying time with family and friends.
I am a lifelong Fargo resident. I graduated from Northwest Tech College in May of 2002 and started my career with Dr. Saunders in September 2002. I have really enjoyed building relationships with our patients over the years. I love seeing our patients leave with a healthy beautiful smiles. In my spare time I love to "try cooking" spending time at the lake with family and friends and getting my 2 young children to all of their activities.
I grew up in Annapolis, MD. Moved here in 2006. I have a 6 ½ year old son. In my spare time I volunteer for the Mapleton North Dakota fire department. Lucas my son and I like to go camping and fishing. I have been a Dental Assistant since 2007. I love what I do. I started working and Dr. Saunders and Dr. Krog in December 2013. I get to work directly with Dr. Krog every day and enjoy it.
I grew up in Rugby, North Dakota. I graduated in 1990 from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. I started working for Dr. Saunders in 2003. I have enjoyed getting to know my patients over the years and being able to help them maintain their oral health. In my spare time I love reading, listening to music, spending time with family and traveling.
I grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN. I graduated from M State in Moorhead, MN in 2009 with a major in dental hygiene & joined Dr. Saunders dental office in March 2010. I find my career very rewarding & love that our patients leave our office feeling happy with the care they received! My favorite things about my job are getting to know patients well and when they tell me how much of an improvement they see in their oral health after visits with us! When I'm not working I love to spend time with my husband Josh & our two boys Liam & Ryker! I enjoy being outdoors, running, warm weather & weekends at the lakes with our families!
I graduated from dental assisting school in 1993. I decided to go back to school in 1998 for a dental hygiene degree and graduated from Northwestern Technical College in 2000. I started with Dr. Saunders in February of 2014. I find patients interesting and fun. I get to be a cheerleader for a healthy lifestyle and smiles. My personal life includes 5 children and I love to run and do crafts and fun activity at the lake.
I grew up in Cooperstown, ND and graduated from M-State in Moorhead in May of 2016. I started with Dr. Saunders and Dr. Krog in March 2017. I have met so many great people from my co-workers to our patients. I really enjoy the educational aspect of dental hygiene and helping my patients understand why it is important to maintain their oral health as well as how they can best do it at home. In my spare time I enjoy being at the lake with my family and depending on the season you can find me watching Minnesota Wild and Fighting Hawks hockey, Minnesota Vikings and NDSU Bison or Twins baseball.
Angie attended NDSCS and graduated with an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene. Prior to school, she acquired over 10 years of dental lab experience. She enjoys meeting all the new and existing patients and looks forward to getting to know each patient's specific needs and helping meet those individually. Knowing that she is helping to improve patients' smiles along with their health is truly fulfilling. When Angie is not working, she enjoys shopping, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Angie lives in West Fargo with her husband, Chad and they have a daughter, Skylar. She also has a German Shorthair dog named, Marley and a Ragdoll cat named, Forrest.
